As a recent graduate of Pepperdine University, I am eager to share my knowledge, study skills, and time with fellow students! I received my Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, with a specialization in Business Management. I also graduated Pre-Med and am currently preparing for my MCAT, in hopes of 2016 medical school matriculation! Born and raised in the beautiful city of Pasadena, Brandon is a first generation college graduate with a passion for math and science specifically astronomy. From a young age he has been inspired by mentors, teachers, Caltech, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the nearby Griffith Observatory to continuously study the stars. Eventually he wishes to pursue a PhD in Astrophysics, hoping to advance the knowledge for all humanity. During his undergraduate career he spent most of his afternoons tutoring and assisting teachers at an Elementary school in Malibu focusing primarily on math and science.Another passion of his is volunteering for the YMCA. He has been a summer camp counselor/director for the past 7 years, and just recently became an advisor with the youth government program aimed to develop public speaking/debate skills of high school students. Through his volunteer work he has gained a great appreciation for leading the lives of youth in any capacity he can. In his free time he is a devoted hometown fan of the UCLA Bruins, Dodgers, and Lakers.

I'm a current PhD student at Tufts University studying Applied Math, and formerly I attained my Bachelor of Science in Math at Pepperdine University. I have been tutoring math for three and a half years now, including Calculus, Differential Equations, and Algebra. I also have taken and tutored many standardized tests, including AP Calc, A-Level Math/Further Pure Math, and GRE Quantitative Analysis. In addition, as a Chinese native speaker, I'm also tutoring Chinese speaking and writing. Outside of academia, I enjoy playing music and sports. I am currently a keyboard player in my band and a member of the school dancing team and table tennis team. I'm looking forward to meeting my tutees and becoming friends with each one of you!

Since graduation, I have worked for U.S. Bank as an anti-money laundering investigator and tutored students both remotely and in person. I am a native Mandarin speaker, and I started to tutor Mandarin four years ago when i was still in China. I was trained by a professional and my first student was British. He can speak fluent Mandarin now!!At the same time, I am a financial analyst. I graduated from Pepperdine University with my masters degree in Finance. I am good at math. I scored very well on my GMAT and would love to tutor GMAT math too.

I'm a 2016 graduate of Pepperdine University with my Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. Currently I'm preparing to apply to optometry school; I hope to be accepted for the 2018-19 academic year. During my time in college, I was involved as a teaching assistant for General Chemistry I and II laboratory, as a tutor for General Chemistry I, as a member of the Regents Scholar Student Board, and as a "small group" leader through multiple organizations. I am a member of the sorority Pi Beta Phi and held the positions of Historian, Senior Transition Leader, and member of the Leadership and Nominating Committee during my undergraduate years. As far as tutoring goes, I offer my services to students of all ages and in numerous subjects. I particularly enjoy tutoring the STEM subjects. I also thoroughly enjoy working with female STEM students, which allows me to serve as a role model and to offer additional encouragement for my female students to not lose interest in STEM subjects. A large part of my tutoring style focuses on logical thinking for how to tackle new and difficult problems using previous knoledge and educated hypotheses; I have found that my students find both success and a boost in confidence using my methodology. I graduated Pepperdine University in Southern California with dual degrees in International Business Administration and Economics with a concentration in Finance.
