Hello! My name is Nancy and am a certified teacher in the state of New Jersey. I have over four years of experience working with students in all different settings. I have two bachelors degrees from Rowan University. One degree is in early childhood education, and the other is in Literacy studies. I would love to help tutor your child in any elementary school subjects.I can also assist middle school students with reading, and writing.

I have a strong academic background in the sciences, with a bachelor's degree in Biology and Anthropology and a master's degree in Biomedical Sciences. My education has given me a deep understanding of scientific concepts while also helping me develop strong critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills. I enjoy helping students break down complex topics into clear, manageable ideas and building confidence in their ability to understand the material. I like to focus on explaining concepts in a way that makes sense to them and connecting the material to real-world examples whenever possible. I also enjoy helping students with essay editing and academic writing. My background in both the sciences and anthropology has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, organize ideas, and refine arguments while maintaining a student's voice. I aim to make the editing process collaborative and encouraging, helping students feel more confident in their writing skills. Overall, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing academically.

I am an experienced teacher in New Jersey. I am certified to teach early childhood, elementary (all subjects), and middle school, math and science. I currently teach at a middle school in New Jersey so I am familiar with up to date standards. In addition, I can help you prepare for the Early childhood, K-6 Elementary and Middle School Math and Science Praxis II tests.I obtained my master's in education at Holy Family University, in Philadelphia PA. My Masters is in early childhood education with an emphasis on special education.I am passionate about helping students create and meet their goals. I enjoy teaching and tutoring mathematics, music, and science. These are my areas of expertise. Outside of tutoring, I teach middle school math and science.It is my philosophy that students should feel relaxed and confident when it comes to their learning. I also believe that learning should be student led, with the teacher guiding them to create their own connections. This is important for retention of new skills!

I am a high school math teacher, leading Algebra 1, Statistics, and College Algebra courses. I have a dual degree in math and subject-matter education with a minor in Statistics and Operations Research, as well as a concentration in Honors studies. I have had much previous experience in the tutoring field in my hometown and at my university, and I am a Level 1 Certified Tutor from the College Reading and Learning Association. My favorite thing about tutoring is being able to work with a student individually to enhance his or her knowledge of the subject matter, and that "AHA" moment is the best!

I graduated from Rowan University with a double major in history and secondary education. After graduating, I taught in various capacities including as a high school history teacher, a college English teacher in Turkey through the Fulbright Student Program, and created and executed professional development workshops in two West Philadelphia schools while working as part of the University of Pennsylvania's Netter Center for Community Partnerships. These experiences have provided me with the ability to adhere to the needs of a variety of learners. Currently, I am finishing up my M.A in history at the University of Cincinnati and will be entering into a joint Ph.D. program studying the history of education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My expertise as both a historian and as an educator provide me with the tools needed to help my students succeed.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish with a concentration in International Studies. I have worked as a teaching assistant of arts and crafts in Spain and New Jersey, as well as teaching English as a second language (ESL) to elementary students and young adults. I'm a charismatic individual, so lessons won't be boring!

I believe that every person can do well in math. Hardwork and determination can take you far. It is my personal mission as an educator to make math less challenging and more rewarding for all.

I am a certified high school English teacher with five years of tutoring experience. My students range from ages 7-19, from elementary school to college level. I am highly qualified to tutor for any English class, such as ELA classes, Literature classes, and more. I am also available to help with test preparation for SAT, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, AP European History, Praxis English, and CLEP. I am passionate about mentoring students and guiding them to success!

I believe every student has the ability to learn and thrive. This belief drives my teaching. I have eight years experience tutoring full-time at the community college remedial level. I have also volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged middle school and high school students. I am comfortable tutoring those who are gifted as well as those with learning disabilities.I tutor a wide range of subjects, but am most passionate about Computer Science, Math, and Test Prep. These are all subjects in which a student can feel completely lost or stuck. In my experience, the small steps which can easily be gained in these subjects make a huge difference. I am a graduate of Rowan University and Montclair State University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Education and a Master of Arts in Theater Studies.

I have been teaching ESL (English as Second Language) for approximately 15-20 years at all levels in manufacturing locations, one on one, students at all age levels. I enjoy teaching others and seeing the light come up when a subject is mastered or understood. Looking forward to working with Varsity Tutors and getting to help others.

I began my undergraduate career at Drexel University and I am proud to say I finished at Rowan University. During my time at Drexel I was fortunate enough to participate in the Maryanoff Fellowship program with a focus on nanotechnology research. My goal was annealing silver nanoparticles into nanowires. My focus then shifted to organic chemistry education utilizing first person shooter video game software. I always had an eye for being an educator, even in my undergraduate days. I then pursued a graduate degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I was voted class vice president and was introduced to my first leadership role in an academic setting. I had a wonderful time at PCOM including doing an internship at the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office. Here I assisted as an intern medico-legal death investigator (AKA CSI) and participated during autopsies. I have been teaching at Rowan University for the past six semesters. I began with one course Essentials of General Chemistry, then Essentials and Organic Laboratory I, and now I am teaching both Chemistry II Lecture and Laboratory this semester.

I am a mathematician and educator who knows that every student CAN understand and enjoy mathematics. All students deserve an educator that is truly invested in their understanding in the subject matter. I strive to be that educator.I knew since High School I wanted to teach mathematics. I was always interested in learning more and curious to find what came next in my math classes. That curiosity for mathematics is what I try to instill in my students.I was a long-term mathematics substitute teacher at Gloucester City High School where I taught students who needed that extra help in order to succeed. I help every students see their true potential in the mathematics classroom. Every students has the capability to understand and use mathematics.
