I'm a junior at Stevens Institute of Technology working towards a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering, in addition to playing baseball for the school. I have always enjoyed teaching others and plan to pursue education once I retire from working. Throughout high school and college, I've always been known as someone to turn to for academic help. I mostly enjoy teaching computer science, whether it be Python, C++, or Java. I do also have a strong math background, which comes from taking various physics and math courses in college. When I'm not doing school work, you can find me on the baseball field, on the golf course, playing video games, or fishing. I am taking classes completely online, so I know and understand how difficult the academic state can be for us students. I would be more than happy to assist with time management questions or simply encouragement!

I am currently finishing up my time at Stevens Institute of Technology, to obtain a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering. My love for teaching is something I found when I would tutor my younger brother in Calculus. Ever since I have been taking teaching opportunities where I can find them. At Stevens, the night prior to calculus exams, I would give a review of the materials to over 200 students at a time. Afterword I would stay and help any student that needed assistance one on one. I tutor many things but my biggest interests are Calculus(AB), Python programming, and other high school level maths. I believe the best way to teach math is to reduce the intimidation factor that math can have and this is exactly what seems to work for my students. In my spare time I like to hike, camp, ride my dirt bike and play basketball.

Math has always been my favorite subject, and combined with my thorough enjoyment of passing that excitement on to others, has sparked my interest in teaching. I have been teaching for over 30 years, both classroom and online with 1 to 1. I am most experienced in teaching algebra 1 and 2. I try to relate the topic to everyday life to show how useful mathematics is in helping us to solve life's problems. I teach for that moment when the light comes on in the student's eyes, showing that I have succeeded in helping that student understand the concept.

I'm currently a senior at Stevens Institute of Technology finishing my Bachelor and Master of Civil Engineering. I've worked as a tutor for 3 years in a variety of math and science based courses. At school, I've always helped tutor my friends in the courses we take together. Learning their habits, strengths, and weaknesses has allowed me to find out how they learn best, and then tailor my explanations to that style. My personal strength in communication has been as asset in all my tutoring. Everyone learns differently, and that's ok.I'm hoping to help students achieve their goals through a better understanding of the material.

I am a Mechanical Engineer from Stevens Institute of Technology (Graduated in May 2012). I recently left my job after 2 years as a Manufacturing Engineer to pursue a different opportunity as a Project Engineer. I currently work for one of the largest Medical Manufacturing companies in the world. I have always been strong at all kinds of math, which led me to my Engineering degree. Throughout school, I was always working in groups and helping my friends understand lessons whenever I could. For two years in Stevens I tutored Physics and Calculus 1. I prefer understanding concepts, rules, and formulas over memorization because I believe that when you understand them for what they are used for an why, it builds a lasting comprehension that is easier to grasp. I prefer working through practice problems and believe that practice really does make perfect when it comes to Math. For high school students, I could also give advice for applying to colleges since I am a recent graduate. I live in Bergen County, but was born, raised, and went to school in Hudson County. I have a 1.5 year old dog that doubles as my roommate. I enjoy watching and playing sports, hanging out with my dog, having fun with friends, and trying new activities and foods.
I am a junior at Stevens Institute of Technology working towards my Bachelors in Computer Science. I am a rising sophomore at Stevens Institute of Technology and am pursuing a Chemical Engineering degree with a Biomedical Engineering minor. I have been tutoring kids of all ages since my freshman year in high school through programs such as A2Z mentoring and National Honors Society. I tutor a wide range of subjects but my strong suits are STEM related courses such as math and the different sciences(chemistry, biology, anatomy). I love tutoring because it not only allows me to teach a student a problem, but rather the concept. Understanding why things are the way they are makes learning much more interesting! Having gone to West Windsor North high school, a competitive blue ribbon school, I understand the challenges students face in the classroom every day and what I want to do is make that experience easier for other students. Tutoring is about developing a relationship with the student and making the learning fun, while also seeing rewarding results!
I am a 2/5 Biomedical Engineering major at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.I have prior experience tutoring mostly high school students in mathematics and science. In my experience, one of the most important aspects of tutoring is setting goals at the very beginning and working toward that goal. My primary goal is to help students become confident in the fields they are studying.
I am a student of the Stevens Institute of Technology and am currently pursuing my Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering. As the oldest sibling in a family of 4 brothers and sisters, I know what it is like to have someone depend on me, and how to help them succeed. I have the ability and patience to teach those younger than me about topics I have mastered throughout my schooling. I love to talk and have a bad habit of making friends with everyone I meet! I love teaching and seeing my students improve over time, like watching my own children grow up. The subject I am most passionate about teaching is math, math, and math! Seeing different equations and variables click together to make a coherent, objective statement is always fun to see, and it is fun teaching my students how to understand this in the grand scheme of life. When I am not going crazy for equations, I am reading long fantasy novels, gaming, or improving my tennis play.
I am a senior biomedical engineering undergraduate and chemical biology masters student at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken New Jersey. I have a vested interest in the performing arts, love going to the gym, and hanging out with my fraternity brothers. While at Stevens I have spent a lot of time doing research in cell biology and chemistry, while working for the Academic Support Center, tutoring freshmen and sophomores in a variety of subjects. My favorite subjects include biology and calculus! When I teach, I am very passionate about building a students foundation in a topic. If this is done successfully, the student instantly moves away from trying to memorize facts and is equipped with the skills necessary to achieve a fuller understanding of the subject. One of my many mantras is and always will be:"Don't memorize..... think, learn, understand."
I'm an incoming sophomore at Stevens Institute of Technology, majoring in Business and Technology. I have a strong passion for teaching. I think the right teacher can make a huge difference, I have taught and tutored for the last 8 years of my life, and I hope that I will be a good fit for you!I think the most important thing is finding a tutor that works with your strengths and weaknesses. I like to spend the first time meeting a student really figuring out where the disconnect is with a subject, sometimes the problem is not the new material, but a stronger foundation in previous classes is needed.Professionally I have mostly tutored math for the last several years, but within my friends I tutored physics and other STEM courses through my academic career.I have a BS in civil engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, an MS from Stevens Institute of Technology and I am currently pursuing a PhD in civil engineering.
My name is Bharat and I have been a tutor for 4 years. My speciality is in mathematics such as Algebra. My other speciality is Social Studies and History. I enjoy tutoring and have also taught students who have a disability.
