I am a graduate of Texas Tech University with my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Biology and Spanish, with a minor in Health Professions. Currently, I am in the process of applying to medical school. I have worked in many areas: tutoring high school students in a variety of AP courses, college students looking to practice or better understand the Spanish language or certain courses, and elementary/middle school students having trouble with reading, science, or math. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology, Spanish, and math. This college had multiple early college high school programs in place, therefore I have taught at the high school and college level. I graduated from an accelerated BSN program at Texas Tech University. I also have a BS in Zoology from The Ohio State University where I also completed Air Force ROTC. I served 7 years as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force in charge of air traffic controllers and airfield management personnel. I met my husband while on active duty and after we got engaged, I separated from the Air Force and pursued my passion for nursing. I am excited to share my experience with taking the NCLEX, various study strategies that I learned while in a demanding 12-month accelerated nursing program, and my experience as a graduate nurse in a Level II trauma center. I am a big proponent of understanding the 'why' behind pathophysiology, signs, and symptoms, and nursing interventions. Trying to memorize everything is impossible and will not help you pass the NCLEX, however, if you understand the concept and pathophysiology, you can usually get the right answers and be way more successful.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences with minors in Secondary Education and Spanish from Texas Tech University where I competed as a cross-country and track athlete on a full athletic scholarship.
