I have a Bachelors of Science in General Chemistry from the University of North Carolina, Pembroke. I plan on tutoring math and chemistry, but am open to exploring other subjects soon!

I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. I have my Bachelors degree in elementary education. I have taught and tutored for 13 years and love every minute of it. I believe every child deserves an education. Everyone is unique and different. We all have different strengths and weaknesses. I never want a child feeling less because they do not understand something. I want them to understand there is something everyone struggles with, and they are important. I teach and tutor reading, math, social studies, and science. I enjoy teaching all subjects. I enjoy learning as a whole. Outside of teaching/tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my family. Hello Super-stars! I am a previous Middle school math and science teacher with more current experience tutoring elementary, middle school math fundamentals and high school math. Additionally, I specifically have helped students working in Algebra 2 and Geometry in High school, and also helped with SAT Prep and ACT prep, along with other high school maths. Working with different public school systems in a tutoring company setting is something that has been very enjoyable to me and very rewarding! I've been thankful to work alongside students from all over the US, a student or two from Canada, and also worked very briefly tutoring students in Goa, India (that spoke English). Hello everyone! I'm passionate about helping every student discover their potential, no matter their learning style or background. As someone who was often overlooked in school due to learning differences, I know how important it is to have someone in your corner who believes in you and takes the time to explain things in a way that makes sense. That's exactly what I aim to do for each of my students. I'm currently working toward my degree in Middle Grades Mathematics Education at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with students from middle school to college, through informal tutoring with peers and hands-on experience in my college fieldwork. My specialty is tutoring math from Kindergarten through 9th grade, but I also enjoy supporting students at the elementary level in all subjects. Math is my favorite subject to tutor because there's always a right answer, it's like solving a puzzle. I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher with 19 years experience in high school social studies. I've taught a variety of courses in the social studies including AP level History and Government/Politics. I've spent several years overseas working with non-native English speakers as well.
