I believe that every child has the potential to learn and succeed, regardless of their challenges. My goal as a teacher is to unlock that potential and help my students become confident and independent readers and writers. My approach is grounded in the Orton Gillingham method, which is a structured, multisensory, and sequential approach to teaching reading and writing. I believe that this approach is highly effective because it is tailored to the individual needs of each student. I take the time to assess each student's strengths and challenges, and then create a personalized learning plan that is tailored to the unique needs of the student.

Hi! I'm an academic coach dedicated to helping students unlock their full academic and personal potential. For the past six years, I have specialized as an executive functioning coach, equipping students with the critical time-management, organization, and study systems they need to succeed independently. Alongside system-building, I am a specialized STEM subject matter coach, translating complex science and math concepts into clear, actionable lessons. Whether your student needs to master rigorous coursework, navigate the college application process, transition smoothly to higher education, or build lasting cognitive habits, I provide structured, encouraging, and highly effective mentorship. Let's work together to achieve their goals!
My goal as an educator is to promote a positive appreciation for education, especially the subject of mathematics. For the past ten years I have, in varying capacities, been involved with teaching or tutoring mathematics at the middle school to post-secondary levels. My goal for my students is for them to question why they are studying what they are so they can foster a deeper understanding of the material. To aid in this, I draw from my extensive knowledge of the subject of mathematics and expand upon what they are studying. This allows me to call on different approaches and methods to solve problems, and I believe allow my students to more completely grasp the concepts.
I am a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. I received my bachelor of Science in Education with a focus in Early Childhood Special Education (meaning I am certified to teach ages 0-21). Since graduating in 2019, I have worked at elementary and high schools. While I tutor all subjects I am most passionate about Math and English. Students with disabilities often struggle with these core subjects and it spills over into every other subject. I believe that with patience, care, and time all students can learn and grow.
All through my life, I've helped a lot of people learn and I continue to do so. I have been tutoring and helping my peers learn since when I was a senior in high school, as an AS/A Levels student, and as a college student. I served as a tutor, teaching assistant, and peer leader during my entire academic experience.I have led, taught, and coached different learners and students of different ages and educational levels to help them attain their various educational goals. I have tutored students in Public Speaking, ESL/ESOL, TOEFL, Writing, Communication Theories, Research Methods, Literature etc. I enjoy seeing learners and students I help achieve their educational and personal goals. I believe in teaching with patience and also in the saying that the "sky should be my stepping stone rather than my limit;" I take this philosophy with me everywhere I go even the classroom. In my experience, most students have distinct learning styles and identities so I strive to be innovative and adapt the subject to their individual learning style. It's very fulfilling when I see students I tutor, succeed or pass their exams. My teaching style and pedagogy is primarily learner centered. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, listening to podcasts, writing, and reading. I also love politics. I'm looking forward to working with you to help you achieve your academic goals.
Hi, I'm Anthony! I'm a senior at Eastern Illinois University pursuing dual degrees in Physics and Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics, and I will begin a PhD in Chemistry at Baylor University in Fall 2026. My academic path has given me a strong foundation in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communicating complex ideas clearly. I currently conduct photocatalysis research with Dr. Hongshan He, where I work on understanding chemical processes and materials at a fundamental level. Through this experience, I've learned how to break down difficult scientific concepts into logical stepssomething that translates directly into effective tutoring. I specialize in tutoring physics, chemistry, and mathematics, from foundational concepts to more advanced coursework. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand the reasoning behind it so they can approach new problems with confidence. I believe the best learning happens when students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. As someone who has spent years studying challenging STEM subjects, I know that difficult topics often become manageable once they are explained the right way. I work patiently with students to identify where confusion starts and build a clear path forward. If you're looking for a tutor who is knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about helping students succeed, I'd be happy to help!

I have worked as a Lead teacher in a Spanish Immersion Academy and worked in a bilingual immigration office, where I translated, interpreted, and discussed cases with native Spanish-speaking clients.Last summer, I took a trip to Peru, where I volunteered at a local orphanage for five weeks.By combining travel, studies, and work experience, I have been able to reach a proficiency in Spanish that allows me to communicate with others and accomplish things that I otherwise would not be able to with English alone. It is my desire to use these skills that I have acquired in a helpful way and to spread the joy of understanding and speaking such a beautiful language.

Hello, I am Gwendolyn. I am interested in helping students of all ages with their schoolwork so that they can succeed. I first began tutoring in junior high as a volunteer. I assisted students with their homework. After obtaining a B.S. in Psychology, I worked as an instructional assistant at a Sp. Ed. school for children with learning and behavioral difficulties called Springer School and Center. I helped students with their classwork, specifically in math. In this job experience, I also had the opportunity to tutor students after school. In the summer of 2025, I obtained an M.S. in School Psychology. I had a practicum where I utilized various strategies to help students with their reading, writing, and math work. As a practicum student, I also implemented a lesson plan to help students with their sight words. I created my own worksheets to help the students with the lesson plan. While working at Springer and completing graduate school, I gained a great deal of experience with behavioral management. For instance, I worked as a counselor in the Cleveland Clinic's ADHD Summer Treatment Program for two summers. There, I worked with children with ADHD and behavioral difficulties. I utilized reinforcement to increase appropriate behaviors and punishment for inappropriate behaviors via a token economy. As a tutor, I would welcome working with children with ADHD or other learning/focusing challenges. As your personalized tutor, I can assist with homework and help students with writing formal papers. Throughout college, I learned how to write scientific and formal papers. I can help all-age students with brainstorming ideas, finding sources, and properly citing and formatting papers. In college, I learned a great deal about psychology, such as child development. Hence, I could help undergraduate students understand psychology concepts so that they can adequately complete their schoolwork and master topics. I am here to support. I am passionate about helping students progress in their education and learning.
