No toy was safe in my hands. As a child, I always took my toys apart to see their inner components and how they produced sound or light. Most survived the reassembly stage, while others were mourned by my mother's pocketbook. When I was in the fifth grade, my mother gave me my first toolkit. To say the least, I took apart everything in the house that could be disassembled with a screwdriver.
