I am an alumna of The University of North Carolina-Wilmington and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. I am currently working towards my Masters in Elementary Education. I tutor elementary subjects and middle grades math, writing and science. I have worked with students as a teacher assistant in an elementary school and I was a reading tutor in college.I love to teach and watch students accomplish their goals. The look of 'victory' on a student's face, after solving a difficult problem, is what I look forward to as a tutor. My teaching philosophy is "learn a ton, while having fun". Learning should never be boring so I do my best to make it exciting. My favorite subject to tutor is math because there are multiple ways to do one problem. There is always a way for me to teach that one problem, to multiple students with different learning styles.In my free time, I love to cook and binge watch Netflix with my husband. Also, I enjoy painting and traveling.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a degree in mathematics and am current pursuing a masters degree in secondary education at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
