My name is Candace, and I am a proud graduate of the University of Florida. I currently hold a teaching certificate in Florida, with qualifications in both Mathematics 6-12 and Reading. Over the course of my 23 years in education, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students, from Kindergarten through the college level. People often ask me which age group I prefer teaching, and the truth is, I enjoy every level! Throughout my career, I've taught all core subjects, including Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. Nevertheless, Mathematics holds a special place in my heart and is where my true passion lies. I believe that every student has unique potential, and I am committed to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment for all ages. If you have any questions or would like to discuss my teaching philosophy further, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for taking the time to read about my background. I look forward to the opportunity to connect!

I hope to extend my services to you ,and assist in your journey to mastery of the standards and skills for academic success.
I believe that all students are able to learn, they just need to be not only taught by the right instructor, but the materials at hand must be presented in a manner in which the student is learning. Furthermore, the lessons presented must be engaging, interactive, and tailored to suit each student. My ideal session is in which my students are not just using new learning tools, but their continued successes are noteworthy of praise for a continued life of exposure to a plethora of pedagogy and rigor matched to their specific needs.
I am a life-long learner and believe ALL children can succeed with the right amount of patience and scaffolded support. During my 15 years as an educator, I've had the opportunity to see children excel and oftentimes gain a newfound confidence in themselves. I consider myself a master educator and serve as a mentor to several instructional coaches.Regardless of individual struggles and needs, my goal is to always help children improve. I am currently a public educator and homeschooling my two youngest children.
